OVERVIEW
DAY 1: Arrival in Nuquí/Bahia Solano.
DAY 2: Go humpback whale watching by boat.
DAY 3: Walk in the rainforest and meet with the locals.
DAY 4: Return to Medellin.
DAY 1 : DEPARTURE FOR NUQUÍ/BAHIA SOLANO
It takes only 60 minutes to fly from Medellin to Nuqui or Bahia Solano. They are both ideal places for nature lovers.
- On arrival, you will be welcomed at the airport then transfer by boat to your ecolodge.
- Lunch of fresh fish (vegetarian options are available).
- Spend your afternoon at leisure and discover the beach and the surroundings of the hotel.
- Dinner in the ecolodge with fish.
- Overnight in Nuquí/Bahia Solano (according to your choice).
DAY 2 : THE HUMPBACK WHALES
The humpback whale is a large mammal characterized for performing spectacular leaps out of the water. The whales come up from the South Pole along the coasts of South America to breed in the warm waters of Colombia.
- Boat trip to approach the humpback whales and watch them closely.
- Enjoy a sublime moment by navigating on the Pacific Ocean.
- Back to ecology.
- Lunch.
- In the afternoon, walk in the forest to a waterfall or visit the nature reserve of the ecolodge.
- Dinner.
- Overnight in Nuquí/Bahia Solano (according to your choice).
DAY 3 : THE PACIFIC RAINFOREST
In Nuqui, the lush forest hugs the Pacific Ocean and its magnificent black sand beaches have a wide variety of fauna and flora. In Bahia Solano, the ensenada de Utria allows you to explore the tropical rainforest.
- Guided tour of the forest.
- Watch animals and visit black sand beaches.
- Lunch.
- You will have the possibility of a 2nd boat trip to watch the humpback whales again.
- Dinner.
- Overnight in Nuquí/Bahia Solano (according to your choice).
DAY 4 : RETURN TO MEDELLIN
- Breakfast.
- Transfer back to the airport to take your return flight to Medellin.
